Nai Lert is renowned as one of the first Thai entrepreneurs, ireal estate developers, and a philanthropist in the 1800's. One of his early establishments was the Nai Lert store in Si Phraya, which began to operate in 1893.
A true visionary, he was the first to introduce imported goods from, Europe and America to Thailand including Singer sewing machines, wine from California, Cognac, various French cheeses, Pierre Chabanneau 3 star brandy, Andrew's Liver Salt, Cona coffee makers and imported chocolate to name a few.
